So, how can we be sure that we are doing all we can to maintain the high standards we set ourselves? Our membership of various professional organisations and our professional accreditations are never just for show. It means that our employees and our clients can rest assured that we keep constant vigilance when it comes to our professional integrity and are never complacent about it.

Firstly, ongoing training is key. As a team, we are totally committed to every member’s professional development, at every level, from the most junior member of Powers up to director. We are committed to running a sustainable apprenticeship programme and have members of the team working on the level three Geospatial Survey Technician Apprenticeship, which delivers a programme of geospatial knowledge, skills and behaviour, and helps our team to challenge what the screen says and understand when the screen might be giving incorrect data. This sits alongside our in-house training programme, which was developed around the Chartered Institute of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES) core competencies. Our directors are also working on bringing the level six Geospatial Mapping and Science Specialist Degree Apprenticeship to the northwest, so that our level three surveyors can have the option of continuing their studies or progressing as members of the CICES.

CICES Approved Development Partner

Our status as a CICES Approved Development Partner allows us to recruit and retain the best employees, who can be assured that from the moment they join us they will receive appropriate training and professional development, that will continue throughout their career progression with us.

The Survey Association (TSA)

The Survey Association is the trade association representing geospatial surveyors in the UK. Our membership of this professional body means that our clients can rest assured that our premises, people, systems, procedures and health and safety are all up to the TSA’s stringent quality standards. For our part, as members our staff can benefit from training to improve their skills and knowledge further, as well as helping them to keep up to date with the latest new and emerging trends and processes in all aspects of geospatial surveying.

UKAS Accredited

Providing our clients with a competitively priced surveying service is always our aim and we are able to do that through being certified in ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 45001 (Health and Safety) and ISO 14001 (Environmental) by a UKAS accredited organisation, certifying us to work in all sectors including the aerospace, defence, security and aviation industries.

Our Gold Constructionline, Premium CHAS, and Cyber Essentials Plus certification also demonstrates how seriously we take industry compliance and Health and Safety.
